Fantastic Paintball Gun!!! This paintball gun is great. The tan and black color scheme is distinctive compared to all the other standard black paintball guns on the market. My kids couldn’t believe it was so much less expensive than a Tippmann 98 Custom; they thought it was more expensive just by looks and feel. The grip is rubberized so it feels good bare-handed, doesn’t slip with gloves, and doesn’t get cold like a metal grip. It seems to shoot as far and as accurate as a Tippmann 98 Custom. I also have a Tippmann FT-12 and US Army Carver One and there is no discernible performance difference in these guns as compared to the Cronus. I did have a little problem with the gun initially, to be fair. The feed tube had a bit of excess plastic inside the neck (probably a manufacturing defect), so it “blocked” paintballs from dropping into the gun (the gun would fire, but a paintball would come out only every other shot). I simply filed down the excess plastic and the gun fired smoothly and flawlessly. We…

Great, but tricky to upgrade barrel This is a really good beginner setup. just be very aware that it is difficult to upgrade this gun’s barrels unless you are certain that it fits the Cronus. I bought two barrels with A5 threading like I was informed the Cronus was supposed to fit, but the Cronus will not accept them at all. One that I bought was an Apex barrel threaded for A5, and the other that wouldn’t fit was a Whisper barrel threaded for A5. I ended up buying a Gryphon by Tipppmann also accepting barrels threaded as A5, just so I could make use of those barrels that didn’t end up fitting the Cronus. The Gryphon works fine with any A5 threaded barrels. The problem with upgrading Cronus barrels is that the aftermarket barrel has to be extremely narrow to fit into the shroud support that comes standard with all Cronus guns. Big bummer there.
